Kudos to your haberdasher, optician and barber, your general appearance is that of a senior statesman and a man worth serious consideration. But the old adage, “you can’t judge a book by it’s cover” comes to mind. One begs to ask if you would have been a loyalist leading up to our own revolution and would have found fault with patriots such as Sam Adams, столове Thomas Paine, Patrick Henry, Ben Franklin and the like having their thoughts put on paper and distributed throughout the colonies in order to stir the hearts into a united beat? If we really want to deal with this issue of illegal immigration, let us now take a moment and look at why these otherwise well-meaning people are breaking our laws.

Although number 1 is difficult to believe, I’m willing to concede the point. Number 2 is self-evident but begs the question, what additional immigration will take place in the next generation? You see Mr. Lott, all parents want their children to have it better than they did. So what poor ethnic group will businesses have to exploit when this well is dry?
Trent, allow a suggestion from a lesser mind than yours- let the free market economy dictate the worth of one’s labor, even if it means paying an American citizen $50/hour to pick strawberries. This will produce a living wage while reducing welfare roles to the people who really need help. One stone, two birds… even Robin Hood can’t improve on that.
Now the question remains, what of those poor souls invading our Southern border? Well, if corruption and lack of economic opportunity are the reasons for entering our country as criminals, let us train, arm and lead them to revolt against the tyranny that holds their nation down. Let us stand with our brothers and fight for freedom and justice for all. As France aided us during our time of trial, let we the people truly aid our neighbors to the south. Power to people on both sides of the border. Mr. Lott, believe in the people, we need leadership now and not backroom deals. I believe the great people of Mexico would take advantage of this offer, unlike our friends in Iraq.
Mr. Lott, when it comes to this immigration issue you can push, pull or get out of the way but don’t stand there with the door open.
